Shahna, the phenomenon singer, was born in 1351 in Kabul City in an intellectual and enlightened family. He graduated from Habibia High School in 1368. His outstanding accademic achievements led him to join higher education in the Medical Faculty of Kabul University. However, the conflict in the country during that time forced him to drop his study and leave the country. He lived in Germany after he fled from his country in 1368. There he studied Business and Economics.

Shahna has loved music since his childhood. Just before he left his country he started to learn music from Ustad Qeyam.

He continued to learn music in Germany too. Shahna is grateful to Ustad Dr Fetrat Nashnas and Ustad Reza Ali khan’s support for  the development of his music career.

He has performed several concerts in different European Countries and has five albums, Manzl-e-Wairan, Qesai Delha, Sawgand-e-Yare, Tarana Hai Baran and Watanm. Shahna visited his home country, Afghanistan, during 2003 – 2005 and had performed two concerts in Kabul City, one in August 2003 and the other in August 2005.
